Dynamometers
Similar to a motor dynamometer, testing a generator requires full power at full speed. In the case of a generator, the power and speed are created in a test motor that is built into the test stand.
The test stand featured here spins at 24,000 RPM and has completely automated oil-control, oil-cooling, vibration-monitoring and safety control. This unit has a plated steel top, vibration absorption and a very rigid frame for use in the aerospace industry.

Some of our Generator Services:
- “High Speed” testing: In addition to this 24,000 RPM system, Vidac has worked with partners to provide both high speed motors and wide power range prime movers.
- “Full Load” generator testing: We can provide either a DC, AC or resistive load with full power meter analysis of the power being generated by the Generator
- Rotor- dynamic design: Vidac can help with high speed design to minimize vibration and resonant frequencies. Our current systems operate up to 75,000 RPM
- Custom Interface: We have experience in mounting and coupling to many types of high speed shafts to account for thermal growth, misalignment and vibration dampening.
