Many DGS companies have built their own manual testers that require an operator to watch, adjust, time and step through an API-692 test. Every one of the DGS testers that Vidac has built can run a full multi-hour test completely unmanned and non-monitored. Under all circumstances, the required separation and ramp pressures are maintained so that one operator can (and often does) run simultaneous test on three or four Vidac DGS test rigs.

This system is no different, but it raises the bar of high speed Dry Gas Seal testing to speeds only promised by others.

This particular tester has dual-output shafts to permit a wide range of operating speeds and break-away torque. The main drive motor is capable of full torque at 5 RPM, but we added an additional servo-driven extreme slow-roll system that seamlessly engages to permit life cycle testing that simulates slow rolling on  the compressor from 1/20 RPM to 100 RPM

• Speed: 0.05  RPM to 70,000 RPM
• Inlet Pressure: up to 1,000 BAR with 3 gas selection
• Inlet Pressure Boosting: Triple Dry Air Gas Boosters double the inlet pressure up to 70 SCFM/2000 SLPM, permitting the use of low pressure bottles.
• Outlet Pressure: 510 BAR
• Remote viewing
• SQL data storage and trending

All support equipment such as oil pressure, temperature control and safety is automatically configured for both the test system and the seal under test.
